Nice Place to Catch Up.
For a sidewalk cafe, this was a great experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was light and delicious. I found it to be an overall enjoyable place to rest, relax and people watch.
“One of our favorites for lunch!
We live here and this is one of our favorites for lunch and a glass of wine. When the weather is nice it is wonderful to sit on the patio, under the trees and enjoy people watching!
The gelato is amazing!
I have been to Italy and ate a lot of gelato! This is the best gelato I've ever had!! The service here is amazing as well and the little restaurant makes you feel like you are actually in Italy!
ONE OF SANTA FE'S BEST KEPT SECRETS. We sat and watched four or five groups walk in and decide not to eat there - DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE! :)
This was some of the freshest, most interesting, Italian bistro food of our lives. Scratch that--some of the freshest, most interesting food of our LIVES! We had the caprese, which was made with arugula and pine nuts, and it was incredible. We also had the chicken pesto pizza, meatloaf spaghetti, bacon-smoked salmon pasta salad, and portabello bruschetta. Every single dish was flavorful and delicious. The meatloaf was flaky and rich, the bread was warm and soft, the sauces were rich and flavorful. My wife doesn't even like salmon and and she even enjoyed my salmon pasta. We wished we could stay overnight in Santa Fe just to come back here for a million more lunches and dinners. Our dishes all came out within ten minutes. And we ate on the nice patio in downtown Santa Fe. Can't recommend this place enough.
"Perfect stop, you almost feel like you are in Italy." If you are in Santa Fe and want to take a break or have an espresso just as you would in an Italian bar, this is the place. One of the owners speaks Italian, the cups are Lavazza, there are many pictures on the walls with titles in Italian ... in short, it is the ideal place to feel a little at home.
Across from the Inn at Loretto, on a street corner with outdoor dining under trees. A tiny Italian cafe serves breakfast and lunch. The ceasar salad, ham panino and black currant ice tea were very good for a great price.
I love eating at Mangiamo Pronto! The owners have decorated their cozy restaurant like an Italian oasis. They frequently have soft Italian music and real Italian fare including the wine. It's a great place for a casual lunch, a quiet place to chat, or an Italian experience with the kids. The food is awesome!
Santa Fe had a snow storm and I was unable to make it home. The next day I was needing lunch for work, so I walked over to Mangiamo since they are right downtown now and so close. I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating they were with making the vegetarian panino into vegan (and very yummy I might add). It came with a chickpea salad that was very good as well. Latte with soy, not a problem. Efficient, friendly service and I would recommend for dining in as well as take out.
This gem is housed in an old Santa Fe building, so it has the look that tourists expect of Santa Fe. But it's also a little bit hip without taking itself too seriously. A dash of urban sleekness is so overdue in this town. I've had lunch here at least three times and a mid-afternoon espresso once. Every time, the food and beverages have been fresh, flavorful, and excellent. The prices are very reasonable for this town. The owners and staff are great. If I didn't live and work outside of the city limits, I'd spend a lot more time here! Great location for picking up a bite while shopping or going to/from the Farmers Market or Railyard District.
Mangiamo pronto is my favorite restaurant in Santa Fe! They are located near the downtown plaza. They are great for breakfast or lunch since they have both great pastries and the best coffee in town. For lunch they have great Italian panini as well as the best tasting genuine Italian thin-crust pizzas ever. The owner, Fritz, is very friendly and helpful and also runs a scooter rental business from the same location. Ideally, you could visit for breakfast, rent scooters to tour the city, and come back to the restaurant for lunch and a glass of Italian wine! The decor is very inviting with tasteful Italian music and videos of Italy available to help set the mood. They are also an ideal spot for a business lunch, and they have free wireless internet available.
